We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Billing and Collections Specialist to join our healthcare team and help us streamline our billing processes. This role works with both patients and insurance companies to resolve any billing issues.

Responsibilities
- Process medical billing claims for various insurance providers and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Review patient records to ensure all necessary information is included for billing purposes.
- Manage accounts receivable by following up on unpaid claims and conducting medical collections as needed.
- Assist in the preparation of reports related to billing activities and collections.
- Present best first impression to our clients and larger community, both in-person and online, including guiding prospective clients through the intake and sales process
Qualifications
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with other team members
- Comfort in holding conversations regarding money, including payments due and fines being assessed
- The desire and ability to proactively solve problems each day
- Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred
- Raintree experience desired
