Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic development.
- Foster a nurturing environment by providing attentive toddler care and applying effective behavior management strategies to encourage positive social interactions.
- Develop and adapt curriculum materials to meet the unique needs of children with special education requirements or those receiving early intervention services.
- Manage classroom activities to ensure safety, engagement, and smooth daily routines, including diapering, feeding, and nap times.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or development.
- Collaborate with colleagues on classroom management techniques and participate in ongoing training related to childhood development, standardized testing, and early childhood education best practices.
- Maintain accurate records of children's developmental progress and classroom activities in compliance with licensing standards.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare or preschool settings is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood development principles, including literacy education, behavior management, and classroom management techniques.
- Experience developing curriculum plans that incorporate Montessori methods or other educational philosophies suitable for young children.
- Familiarity with special education strategies and early intervention programs for children with diverse learning needs is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with families and team members while advocating for child welfare.
- Previous experience working in private schools or daycare centers will be considered an asset.
- Certification in early childhood education or related fields is preferred; ongoing professional development in childhood development topics is encouraged.
