Duties
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant and toddler development
- Support children with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, and nap times in a caring and respectful manner
- Supervise children closely to ensure safety and proper behavior management at all times
- Engage children through play, educational activities, and social interaction to encourage growth and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that meets health and safety standards
- Support classroom management strategies to foster positive behavior and emotional development
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants and toddlers in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices
- Certification in first aid, CPR, including pediatric first aid is highly desirable
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Ability to follow mandated reporting laws and ensure child safety at all times
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
- Demonstrated patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for working with young children
- Relevant classroom or daycare experience including nannying or babysitting roles is beneficial
