Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate activities that stimulate infants’ physical, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Provide attentive care, including feeding, diapering, soothing, and ensuring overall well-being.
- Observe and document each infant’s developmental milestones to tailor activities and support progress.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and discovery.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child’s development, needs, and daily experiences.
- Collaborate with team members to plan curriculum enhancements and share best practices in infant care.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including first aid procedures and emergency protocols.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with infants in daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting or similar caregiving roles.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in special education or working with children with disabilities is a plus.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle multiple infants simultaneously while maintaining patience and compassion.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with parents, colleagues, and children effectively.
- Ability to create a nurturing environment that promotes trust, security, and curiosity.
