Little Treasures Early Childhood Center is dedicated to providing a nurturing, engaging, and developmentally appropriate learning environment for young children. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team and help shape the foundation for lifelong learning.
Position Overview
As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and implementing an enriching curriculum, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment, and ensuring the growth and development of children in our care. You will also provide leadership and guidance to assistant teachers and collaborate with families to support each child's individual needs.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a creative, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early learning standards.
- Create a warm, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Foster children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
- Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Communicate effectively with families, providing updates and support on child development.
- Model best teaching practices and mentor assistant teachers.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and organized learning space.
- Adhere to all state licensing regulations and center policies.
Qualifications
- Associate’s or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
- Previous experience as a Lead Preschool Teacher or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education best practices.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification(Preferred).
