What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Technician/ Veterinary Assistant position at Little Traverse Bay Veterinary Clinic?
Little Traverse Bay Veterinary Clinic is accepting applications for a full-time Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant for our growing small animal practice. We are part of a larger non-profit organization, Little Traverse Bay Humane Society. We are looking for a long-term dependable employee willing to take on multiple responsibilities as part of a larger team.
This position will require working in multiple areas of the organization, including both the shelter and the clinic. The primary responsibilities of this employee are to support the Veterinarians in all aspects of patient care, including taking histories, assisting with examinations, medication administration, laboratory testing, radiographs, surgery and nursing care.
Providing amazing customer service to our clients through good communication is very important to our organization. Cleanliness of all areas of the shelter and hospital are a top priority. Our clinic is very team-oriented, so the ability to work with other employees is a must.
We are located in a very beautiful area of northern Michigan with plenty of outdoor activities including skiing, ice fishing, hiking, sailing, kayaking and more.
