Duties
- Provide attentive care to children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote childhood development, early childhood education, and social skills
- Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing personalized care
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that encourages learning and play while adhering to health and safety standards
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about children's progress, behaviors, and any concerns
- Manage behavior through positive reinforcement techniques and effective behavior management strategies
- Administer basic first aid when necessary and respond promptly to emergencies or health issues
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional training in working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
- Demonstrated ability to care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children with patience and compassion
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents, team members, and children
- Ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering a positive learning environment
- Flexibility to adapt to the needs of different age groups and developmental stages
