Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Child Care Provider to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children aged 6 weeks to 10 years. Part-time and full-time hours available. Duties
- Provide attentive supervision for children across different age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote early childhood development, creativity, and social skills.
- Ensure the safety of children at all times by adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a secure environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences.
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and hygiene practices in accordance with best practices and health guidelines.
- Apply behavior management techniques to foster positive behavior and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Maintain detailed records of children's activities, health concerns, and developmental milestones as required by licensing standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a licensed childcare facility.
- Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education/Development.
- 3 credit hour course completed in a relevant area (early childhood education, psychology, etc.) is preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable to support inclusive care.
- Strong child supervision skills combined with the ability to plan engaging activities tailored to various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws related to child safety and welfare.
- Excellent communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to manage behavior constructively while fostering a positive learning environment.
