Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and dedicated Lead Toddler Teacher to inspire and nurture young minds in our faith-based early childhood education program. Duties
- Lead daily classroom activities tailored to toddlers’ developmental stages, encouraging curiosity and hands-on exploration
- Incorporate age-appropriate faith-based lessons, Bible stories, prayer, and character-building principles into the curriculum
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that supports emotional, social, cognitive, and spiritual growth
- Model Christ-like behavior through words and actions
- Observe and monitor individual progress; communicate effectively with parents regarding development and milestones
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers to maintain high-quality care and educational standards
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, activities, and developmental observations in compliance with licensing regulations
- Follow and implement health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures, to ensure a secure classroom environment
Skills
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development, specifically toddler age groups
- Experience in preschool or daycare settings, particularly with toddlers or infants
- Alignment with and support of our Christian faith and mission
- Effective classroom management skills that foster a structured, positive learning atmosphere
- Experience supporting children with diverse needs, including special education or accommodations for disabilities
- Current First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Excellent communication skills for partnering with families and collaborating with team members
- Understanding of positive behavior guidance techniques rooted in grace and encouragement
