Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social interaction
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times through vigilant supervision and adherence to safety protocols
- Implement classroom routines and behavior management strategies to foster a respectful and nurturing environment
- Assist with feeding, diapering, nap times, and other daily care routines for infants and toddlers
- Support children with disabilities by adapting activities and providing personalized caregiving as needed
- Collaborate with colleagues to plan educational activities aligned with early childhood education standards
- Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and needs
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating environment conducive to childhood development
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications related to working with children with disabilities are a plus
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including diapering and feeding routines
- Demonstrated ability to manage behavior effectively while fostering positive relationships with children
- Familiarity with safety protocols for childcare environments and emergency response procedures
- Previous experience in caregiving roles that involve teaching or supporting early childhood learning
