Assistant Teacher (Part-Time Afternoons)
Monday–Friday | 3:00 PM–6:00 PM

At Playful Scholars Early Learning Center, we believe children learn best through play, exploration, creativity, and meaningful relationships. We're looking for a fun, energetic, and engaging Assistant Teacher who loves getting down on the floor, building forts, reading stories, creating art, exploring outside, and making learning exciting every day.

What You'll Do
- Support the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, welcoming, and engaging classroom.
- Interact with children through play, exploration, and hands-on activities.
- Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and social-emotional growth.
- Help supervise indoor and outdoor play, transitions, snacks, and daily routines.
- Build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and nurturing learning environment.
- Follow all licensing, health, and safety requirements.
- End of day cleaning and setting up for the next day as needed.

- Someone who genuinely enjoys spending time with young children.
- Positive, patient, dependable, and team-oriented.
- Passion for play-based, child-led learning.
- One year of childcare or early childhood experience preferred

Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Ability to actively engage with children throughout the day, including sitting on the floor, playing outdoors, bending, kneeling, and moving frequently.
