General Overview
Playful Scholars is opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art early learning center, and we are carefully building our founding team of educators. This is not another cookie-cutter childcare job. We are creating a school from the ground up: one rooted in joy, curiosity, and respect for early educators.
The Assistant Caregiver supports the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom using Montessori-inspired principles. This role is ideal for someone who wants to grow, feel valued, and help shape a program that will serve families for years to come.
What You’ll Do
- Support daily classroom activities, routines, and learning experiences
- Help prepare and maintain engaging classroom materials
- Support children during transitions, meals, rest, and play
- Assist with classroom documentation and records
- Maintain health, safety, and licensing standards
- Participate in drills, special events, and school-wide activities

Qualifications
- Experience in childcare or early learning preferred
- Montessori Certification, CDA, or Bachelor’s Degree (one preferred)
- Team-oriented, adaptable, and eager to learn
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs. and actively supervise children
- Ability to stand, walk, and engage for extended periods
