Job Description

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activity Assistant to join our team in Newark, DE. The ideal candidate will support the planning and implementation of engaging activities that promote the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and leading recreational and social activities for residents.
• Encourage participation and foster a positive environment.
• Support residents with mobility and other needs during activities.
• Maintain activity supplies and ensure a safe environment.
• Document resident participation and report any concerns to the supervisor.
• Collaborate with the activity coordinator and other staff members.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Activity Assistant or in a similar role preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate individuals of varying abilities.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
• Basic knowledge of safety and emergency procedures.
