Lead Preschool Teacher – 3-Year-Old Classroom (2 Openings)

Little People’s World LLC is seeking two dependable, caring, and experienced Lead Preschool Teachers for our 3-year-old classrooms: Sunset Sailors and Little Ducklings.

The ideal candidates will be nurturing, organized, reliable, and confident leading a classroom. Lead Teachers are responsible for creating a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment while providing consistent care and supervision for every child.

Position Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and daily activities
• Maintain a safe, clean, welcoming, and organized classroom
• Provide active supervision and maintain required child-to-staff ratios
• Follow the classroom schedule and establish consistent routines
• Accurately document attendance, meals, diapering/toileting, naps, activities, and incidents
• Support children with potty training, social-emotional development, and positive behavior guidance
• Communicate professionally with parents, families, coworkers, and management
• Complete classroom cleaning and sanitation responsibilities
• Work cooperatively with assistant teachers and provide clear classroom direction
• Follow all Little People’s World policies and North Dakota childcare licensing requirements
• Attend required staff meetings and training
• Report safety, behavioral, or developmental concerns to management promptly

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a licensed childcare center or preschool is strongly preferred
• Lead Teacher or classroom leadership experience is preferred
• Must meet or be willing to complete North Dakota requirements for the position
• Must pass all required background checks
• Must be willing to obtain and maintain CPR and First Aid certification
• Must be dependable and maintain consistent attendance
• Must be able to communicate professionally and work as part of a team
• Must be patient, attentive, nurturing, and comfortable working with 3-year-old children
• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and perform the physical duties required in a childcare classroom

Schedule:

• Full-time position
• Monday through Friday 7:30am-4:00pm
• No weekends
• Little People’s World is open from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; the assigned shift will be discussed during the interview

Compensation:

• Starting at $17.00 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
