What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant-Toddler Lead Teacher position at Go Beyond Childcare and Preschool?
Overview
Go Beyond Childcare & Preschool is looking for an Infant-Toddler Lead Teacher to join our team!
We're looking for someone who enjoys working with our youngest learners and understands that caring for infants and toddlers is about so much more than meeting their daily needs. It's about building relationships, creating a sense of security, and providing opportunities for children to learn and explore at their own pace.
In this role, you'll help create a welcoming classroom, plan developmentally appropriate activities, build relationships with families, and support each child's individual growth and development. You'll also work alongside a team that values inclusion and recognizes that every child brings their own strengths, needs, and personality to the classroom.
Duties
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that support children's social, emotional, physical, cognitive, and communication development.
- Provide responsive, attentive care that supports children's safety, comfort, and daily routines.
- Create a positive classroom environment where children feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore.
- Observe children's development and adjust activities and teaching approaches to meet their individual needs.
- Communicate regularly with families about their child's routines, progress, and experiences.
- Collaborate with coworkers, families, and outside providers when appropriate to support each child's development.
- Maintain a clean, safe classroom and follow licensing requirements, safe sleep practices, mandated reporting laws, and program policies.
- Complete required documentation, including daily records and developmental observations.
Requirements
- Experience working with infants, toddlers, or young children in a childcare, preschool, or similar setting.
- Understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to plan activities, observe children's progress, and adapt care and learning experiences to individual needs.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification as required.
- Ability to meet North Dakota background check and childcare licensing requirements.
We're looking for someone who is patient, dependable, and genuinely enjoys helping young children learn and grow.
