Overview
Join our tiny but vibrant flower farm team as a part-time farmer and immerse yourself in sustainable agriculture. Little Pebble Farm is 1/4 acre organically run farm focusing on cut flowers with a variety of outlets. We do small events, local bouquet delivery and wholesale to neighboring farms and businesses.
This dynamic role offers hands-on experience in cultivating beautiful blooms. Ideal candidates have an interest in starting their own flower operation or moving towards working on a larger flower operation.
Duties
- Assist in planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting a variety of flowers (beginning with peony season)
- Weeding and mulching
- Must be able to lift 40lbs as duties can include turning compost, moving wheelbarrows of woodchips and compost and lifting buckets of flowers
- Deliveries if your transportation is reliable
Experience
- Prior experience with farming is a plus
- Must have some gardening experience and enjoy getting your hands dirty
