Overview
Join our retail team as a Gift Shop Associate and become the friendly face that enhances every visitor’s experience! We are an up-and-coming small gift shop business that sells custom apparel, women's clothing, beauty & wellness items, and more. We are located in Williamston, MI and looking for enthusiastic and hard-working individuals to join our team. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing sales transactions, and ensuring the gift shop is well-stocked and inviting.
- Greet customers and assisting them in selecting products that meet their needs and preferences
- Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Stock shelves and organize displays to maximize visual appeal
- Support inventory management by receiving shipments and stocking shelves
- Cutting/printing DTF designs on shirts, hats, etc.
- Ensure the gift shop environment remains clean, organized, and inviting at all times
Skills
- Proven experience with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail sales transactions
- Strong supervising or leadership experience in retail or customer service settings
- Demonstrated phone etiquette skills combined with outstanding customer service abilities
- Basic math proficiency for handling cash drawers, balancing registers, and performing sales calculations
- Ability to multitask effectively in a retail setting while maintaining a positive attitude
We're looking for someone friendly, dependable, and comfortable working with customers. Hours are generally 11am-4:30/5pm, Tuesday through Friday with some Saturdays. Our opening day is Black Friday, and some training days will be required leading up to then.
Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
Expected hours: 18.0 – 25.0 per week
