Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Early Childcare Floater to join our vibrant childcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising children during daily activities, playtime, meals, and transitions to promote safety and engagement
- Support classroom teachers with instructional tasks related to child development and early childhood education standards
- Ensure proper child supervision at all times, adhering to safety protocols and mandated reporting laws
- Help implement age-appropriate activities that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment and assist with basic classroom management duties
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's daily experiences and developmental progress
- Support staff in emergency procedures including pediatric first aid and CPR when necessary
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is preferred
- Knowledge of child development instruction and behavior management techniques
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong classroom experience including toddler care, infant care, or nannying is highly valued
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws and early childhood education best practices
- Excellent child supervision skills combined with patience, compassion, and a positive attitude
