Little Learners Childcare Center LLC has an immediate opening for an Assistant Teacher at our Lapeer and Metamora centers where our teachers are working in structured classrooms and following a play-based curriculum. Full-time and part-time opportunities are available with an excellent benefits package and plenty of room for professional growth. We are a fast-growing, family owned and operated, childcare center specializing in providing early education for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years old. As we continue to expand, we are looking for energetic, passionate, and dependable individuals with a strong desire to teach our little learners and make a difference every day!
Qualifications for our Teachers include:
- Prior childcare center or daycare experience is preferred, but we are willing to train!
- Education in Early Childhood or a child development related field is a plus
- CPR and First Aid Certification; or willingness to obtain or recertify
- Basic computer skills to assist with projects and daily logging of child’s information
- Ability to engage in physical activity and lift up to 30lbs. when needed
- Familiar with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Meet background check requirements with fingerprint clearance
- Strong communication and instructional skills
- Dependable and flexible with a strong work ethic
- Positive and patient demeanor
- Excellent multi-tasking ability
Compensation:
- Rate of pay is based on level of education and experience in the field of early childhood
