Duties
- Supervise and engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills
- Provide attentive care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs or disabilities
- Implement safety protocols including first aid procedures and emergency response plans when necessary
- Support childhood development through teaching basic skills, behavior management, and early childhood education techniques
- Assist with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap times, and potty training
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress and any concerns
- Maintain a clean, organized environment that adheres to health and safety standards in daycare or childcare settings
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying or classroom settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Experience caring for infants and toddlers, including infant care routines and toddler care strategies
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly preferred
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is a valuable asset
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging activities that support learning and socialization
