Position Summary
The Head Teacher is responsible for supporting the daycare's mission by providing high-quality care, maintaining a safe environment, complying with all applicable regulations, and working collaboratively with staff and families. Will facilitate Pre-K 4 classroom.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Leads classroom operations and curriculum.
· Mentors classroom staff.
· Ensures lesson plans meet developmental standards.
· Maintains classroom safety and cleanliness.
· Communicates with families.
· Monitors child progress.
· Maintains documentation.
· Supports licensing compliance.
· Maintains confidentiality.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (higher education preferred where applicable).
- Meet all state licensing requirements.
- Pass required background checks.
- CPR/First Aid certification or ability to obtain.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- 12 Credits in Early Childhood Education
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, bend, stand, sit on the floor, move quickly to supervise children, and work indoors and outdoors.
Work Environment
Fast-paced childcare environment requiring continuous interaction with children, families, and staff while maintaining safety and professionalism.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
