Job Summary
The Center Assistant Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing the daily operations of our learning center, ensuring a high standard of learning and administration. This leadership position requires a strategic thinker who can manage an instructional staff, develop educational programs, and foster an environment conducive to learning. The Center Assistant Director will work closely with the Center Director, staff, students, and the community to promote educational excellence and drive the center's mission forward.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the center's instructional operations, ensuring compliance with educational standards and regulations.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance educational programs and services.
- Oversee resource use, ensuring effective allocation to meet the center’s goals.
- Foster a positive learning environment by providing leadership and support to staff and educators.
- Collaborate with all partners and stakeholders to promote educational initiatives and community engagement.
- Educate staff on best practices in education administration and program development.
- Monitor student performance and implement strategies for improvement as needed.
- Organize professional development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills and effectiveness.
Experience
- MSDE credentials for infant, toddler and director role are required.
- Proven experience in leadership roles within an educational setting, demonstrating strong management skills.
- Familiarity with resource management in an educational context is essential.
- Experience in strategic planning and program development is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with diverse groups including staff, students, and community members.
