Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Driver's License (CDL) A Owner Operator to join our dynamic transportation team. As an owner operator, you will be the backbone of our logistics operations, responsible for safely and efficiently transporting freight across various routes. This role offers the opportunity to operate a variety of specialized equipment, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and tractor-trailers, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety and regulatory standards. Duties

• Safely operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, and roll-off trucks across over-the-road (OTR) routes.
• Load and unload freight manually or with forklift assistance, ensuring proper cargo handling and securement in compliance with logistics cargo handling standards.
• Navigate routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery times and maintain efficient schedules.
• Transport hazardous materials (hazmat) and dangerous goods following all hazardous materials regulations and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) guidelines.
• Deliver freight accurately to designated locations, including automobile transportation and other specialized cargo such as dump trucks or tanker loads.
• Comply with DOT (Department of Transportation), FMCSA, and hazardous materials regulations during all phases of operation.
• Perform routine vehicle inspections, maintenance checks, and documentation to ensure trucks meet safety standards.
• Load and unload cargo at various sites, ensuring proper handling of freight while maintaining safety protocols.
• Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route changes or delivery updates to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

• Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in commercial truck driving, including route driving and delivery driving in various environments.
• Experience operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or dump trucks is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT requirements, hazardous materials regulations, and safety protocols for dangerous goods handling.
• Ability to manually handle cargo safely during loading/unloading processes; forklift certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time adjustments.
• Strong understanding of logistics cargo handling procedures for freight such as freight containers or automobile transportation.
• Excellent driving skills with experience operating manual transmission trucks; familiarity with manual handling techniques is essential.
• Ability to adhere strictly to safety standards during truck loading/unloading activities and on the road.
• Flexibility to handle over-the-road (OTR) driving routes that may involve extended periods away from home.
