Responsibilities
Ensuring that the toddlers have a safe and positive learning environment.
Able to work independently and collaboratively with other staff.
Display a warm, patient, and approachable personality.
Demonstrate effective classroom management skills.
Set clear expectations.
Closely follow licensing regulations related to childcare
Coach and manage children in small groups and one-on-one situations.
Assess children’s needs and development.
Ensure the safety of all children in the program.
Have strong leadership skills and be highly motivated and be a creative
individual.
Performed another task as requested.
Change diapers, feed and help with the care of young children.
Knowledge of principles of child development, childcare and toddler
activities.
Good time management and organizational skills.
Complete knowledge of educational policies and guidelines.
Plan and develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson
plans.
Plan, prepare and implement a variety of toddler learning activities for
children
Planning, and developing a curriculum to suit the toddlers' needs.
Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate children's social,
emotional, and cognitive development.
Participate in the development and implementation of toddler curriculum.
Ability to do observations and assessment skills in evaluating the
developmental progress of children.
Carefully observing toddlers to determine their performance.
Maintaining and updating childrens progress reports.
Assess children’s needs and development.
Qualifications
Highschool diploma or equivalent
