Responsibilities

 Ensuring that the toddlers have a safe and positive learning environment.

 Closely follow licensing regulations related to childcare

 Coach and manage children in small groups and one-on-one situations.

 Assess children’s needs and development.

 Change diapers, feed and help with the care of young children.

 Knowledge of principles of child development, childcare and toddler

activities.

 Good time management and organizational skills.

 Complete knowledge of educational policies and guidelines.

 Plan and develop and implement developmentally appropriate lesson

plans.

 Plan, prepare and implement a variety of toddler learning activities for

children

 Planning, and developing a curriculum to suit the toddlers' needs.

 Planning and delivering lessons designed to facilitate children's social,

emotional, and cognitive development.

 Participate in the development and implementation of toddler curriculum.

 Ability to do observations and assessment skills in evaluating the

developmental progress of children.

 Carefully observing toddlers to determine their performance.

 Maintaining and updating childrens progress reports.

 Assess children’s needs and development.

Qualifications

Highschool diploma or equivalent
