Job Title: Athletic Business Assistant

Primary Purpose:
Perform general bookkeeping responsibilities for all athletic programs across the district, maintain accurate inventory records of athletic equipment and process financial materials for timely payment of vendors.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience:
- One year accounting, bookkeeping or other school district financially-related experience, preferred
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Ability to use calculator (10-key by touch, preferred)
- Ability to use computer and software to develop spreadsheets and do word processing
- Proficient skills in typing, keyboarding, and file maintenance
- Ability to work with numbers in an accurate and rapid manner to meet established deadlines
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Facilitate the efficient operations of the Accounting and Budgeting Department including but not limited to frequent customer contacts, budgetary and accounting concerns, and the compilation and dissemination information, reports, purchase requisitions.
- Provide direct support to the Athletic Department and Finance Department to ensure accurate and efficient practices as prescribed by State and Federal mandates.
- Process check request and purchase requisitions/purchase orders.
- Receive on purchase order invoices so payments can be processed.
- Process budget transfer requests and other budget-related documents.
- Set up vendor information as required.
- Maintain records related to purchases made by all athletic programs.
- Process employee travel documents and check requests.
- Provide support for on campus needs: A. Schedules B. Game Day Needs (HS & MS) C. Processing Officials, Security and EMS payments.
- Assist with on-line ticketing for games as needed.
- Assist with Game Day Operations/Hospitality as needed.
- Assist with Transportation scheduling for LEISD athletic events.
- Maintain District Athletic Calendar.
- Communicate effectively with Athletic Staff according to program needs.
- Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
- All work must be performed on site.

Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting

Lifting: Physically able to lift and carry 10-15 lbs
Environment: May require travel to different campuses in district, office supply ordering, pickup/delivery and stock
Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions, maintain emotional control under stress
