Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

· Maintains regular communication with the Maintenance Manager concerning all activities and operations

· Communicates repair and maintenance issue status to property residents

· Responds to work orders within twenty-four (24) hours

· Conducts prevention maintenance activities

· Informs Maintenance Manager when supplies are low

· Prepares vacant units for leasing

· Ensures buildings, rental units, and systems are compliant with codes

· Maintains technical knowledge and required certificates and licenses.

· Maintains all company maintenance equipment

· Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

· High school diploma or G.E.D.

· MN Class C Boilers License

· General knowledge of plumbing, heating, electricity, and carpentry

· Ability to lift and manipulate moderately heavy objects

· Ability to use appropriate tools for various tasks

· Ability to understand and follow instructions and procedures

· Able to maintain confidentiality

Hours per week: Full-time

Status: Non-exempt, overtime-eligible

Little Earth Management (LEM) oversees a 9.4 acre, 212-unit, HUD-subsidized housing complex located in Minneapolis’ East Phillips Neighborhood. It remains the only Indigenous preference Project-based Section 8 Rental Assistance community in the United States.

Pay: $25.18 - $30.33 per hour
