Summer College Student Daycare Staff

Job Summary
Join our vibrant summer program as a College Student Daycare Staff member, where your enthusiasm and dedication will make a meaningful difference in the lives of young children. You will work closely with experienced caregivers and educators to create a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment for children of various ages, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Duties

• Assist in supervising children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
• Support classroom routines such as snack time, playtime, nap time, and educational activities
• Engage children with age-appropriate games, arts and crafts, storytelling, and educational exercises that promote childhood development
• Help implement behavior management strategies to foster positive social interactions among children
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the daycare environment to ensure a healthy and safe space
• Support staff with diapering, infant care routines, toddler care, and other caregiving responsibilities as needed
• Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to promote a collaborative atmosphere

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a college program related to early childhood education, special education, or a similar field
• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or classroom settings is highly preferred
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-specific caregiving techniques
• Strong classroom management skills combined with patience and positive behavior guidance strategies
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for all children
