Rooted in the belief that every individual deserves respectful, stigma-free access to essentials, Little Daisy’s Closet has grown through grassroots partnerships with local businesses, restaurants, and health providers. The incoming Executive Director will help guide the organization into its next chapter—expanding services, strengthening alliances, and deepening its impact across the greater Chambersburg area.
The Executive Director will lead strategic planning, fundraising, volunteer coordination, and community engagement. They will join a passionate team of volunteers committed to equity, accessibility, and local representation.
Job Description – Executive Director (Part-Time)

Reports to: Board of Directors
Hours: 30 hours/week, flexible schedule (most Saturdays)
Compensation: $38,000 – $55,000 annually, commensurate with experience, No paid time off. 401K matching at up to 3%.
Position Summary
The Executive Director (ED) is the chief executive officer of Little Daisy’s Closet and is responsible for leading the organization in alignment with its mission: to provide free clothing and household essentials to families in need. Little Daisy’s Closet is a NO COST Christian based community outreach program that utilizes the generosity of our community to create fair and equitable access to clothing, to diminish food insecurities and to assist families in disrupting the cycle of poverty. Vision: Our passion is to offer hope and support to those struggling to attain a better quality of life. The ED will provide strategic direction, oversee program operations, manage fundraising and community partnerships, supervise volunteers, and ensure financial accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
- Implement and monitor the mission and vision of Little Daisy’s Closet in collaboration with the Board.
- Lead strategic planning and oversee program development and evaluation.
- Report regularly to the Board on operations, outcomes, and community impact.
Fundraising & Resource Development
- Develop and implement fundraising strategies including donor cultivation, grant writing, and community partnerships.
- Coordinate and participate in fundraising events.
- Build relationships with churches, civic groups, businesses, and donors.
Community Relations & Marketing
- Serve as the public ambassador for Little Daisy’s Closet.
- Develop and maintain partnerships with schools, nonprofits, and community stakeholders.
- Manage communications, newsletters, and social media content.
Financial & Administrative Management
- Prepare and monitor the annual budget in collaboration with the Board.
- Track and report income/expenses; ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations.
- Maintain accurate records, reporting, and grant compliance.
Program & Service Oversight
- Ensure safe, welcoming, and effective service delivery to families.
- Supervise staff and volunteers; maintain proper staffing and volunteer engagement.
- Oversee program compliance and quality assurance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
- At least 3 years of nonprofit leadership, program management, or related experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with accounting software and donor management systems a plus.
- Proven experience in fundraising, donor cultivation, and grant writing.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities within a part-time schedule.
- Commitment to the mission of Little Daisy’s Closet.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
