What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant-Toddler Support Teacher position at Little Bug Learning?
Job Overview:
Our Classroom Support staff work hand-in-hand with primary classroom staff to ensure that our classrooms continue to run smoothly even when a teacher is off. Specifically, this role will primarily be supporting our infant, one-year-old, and two-year-old classrooms, contributing to our efforts to be a high-quality early childhood environment by assisting with providing primary classroom staff time to complete lesson plans, assisting as extra hands and eyes during busy parts of the day, and providing additional support to children as needed to help them solve problems and have fun each day.
The ideal candidate for this role is someone who genuinely enjoys interacting with young children and is comfortable assisting with daily caregiving routines such as changing diapers and assisting with meal times. As the day-to-day duties will change regularly based on the classroom/age group being worked with at that day or time, applicants should ensure they are excited about a position that requires mental flexibility, an open mind, and the ability to interact with a variety of people (big and small) on a regular basis.
Job Details:
Applicants for this position should be prepared to work full time8:00-5:00pm Monday through Friday(8 worked hours and a 1 hour unpaid break daily) and should be comfortable working in classrooms with children of varying ages from infancy to prekindergarten, but especially with infants and toddlers. Applicants for this position MUST hold a high school diploma (or GED) AND the ability to document 2500 hours (2 years full time) previous work experience with children.
