Responsibilities
- Supervise children during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning, creativity, and social skills for toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Provide attentive care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed
- Maintain clear communication with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Enforce behavior management strategies to encourage positive interactions and adherence to rules
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by documenting concerns related to child safety or well-being
- Support children with special needs or disabilities by adapting activities and providing appropriate assistance
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in settings such as daycare, preschool, babysitting, nannying, or youth program.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is required but can receive on the job.
- Strong child supervision skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
- Ability to plan engaging activities tailored to different age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary school-age children
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and classroom experience preferred.
