Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Temporary Preschool Floater to join our team. This position will last for approximately 5 months beginning in January. This person will work Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. This position involves providing support in various classrooms, assisting teachers with daily activities, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education and a strong understanding of childhood development principles.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in implementing curriculum and lesson plans tailored to the developmental needs of preschool-aged children.
- Provide care and supervision for children in various classroom settings, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
- Support classroom management by helping to maintain a positive learning environment.
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities that promote literacy, math, and physical education.
- Foster positive relationships with students, encouraging their social and emotional development.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to address individual student needs, including those requiring special education or early intervention services.
- Participate in assessments and standardized testing as needed to monitor student progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's development and classroom activities.
Skills
