Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and energetic Child Care Director to lead and oversee our early childhood education programs. Duties
- Lead the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood education standards
- Supervise and support teaching staff, ensuring effective classroom management and caregiving practices
- Oversee daily operations of the childcare facility, including enrollment, scheduling, and safety protocols
- Maintain compliance with all licensing regulations, health and safety policies, and accreditation requirements
- Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication, updates, and parent engagement activities
- Coordinate training sessions on topics such as childhood development, behavior management, special education needs, and first aid
- Manage staff hiring, performance evaluations, professional development, and team building initiatives
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with disabilities
- Strong classroom management skills to create a positive learning environment
- Certification in first aid and CPR; experience with special education strategies is highly desirable- but willing to train
- Ability to handle behavior management effectively while maintaining a nurturing atmosphere
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with staff, parents, and community partners
- Experience in daycare or preschool settings with classroom experience in toddler care and infant care
- Knowledge of licensing requirements related to childcare centers and early childhood programs
- Demonstrated leadership abilities to motivate staff and foster a team-oriented environment
- A compassionate caregiving approach combined with strong organizational skills
