PART-TIME OUTSIDE SALES ASSOCIATE

Little Beast Brewing is a family-owned brewery with a passion for innovation, an appreciation for uniqueness, and an obsession with quality. Founded in 2017 and inspired by the “little beasts” that transform water, barley, and hops into beer, we specialize in mixed culture fermentation, fruited and wood-aged beers, as well as thoughtfully crafted classic styles.

We are seeking a Part-Time Outside Sales Associate to support our growing direct distribution network across Portland. This is a field-based role (Tuesday–Thursday) focused on building relationships, increasing account presence, and driving sales.

This is an entry-to-mid-level opportunity with strong potential to grow into a full-time role.

ABOUT THE ROLE

This position is primarily on the street — visiting accounts, building relationships, taking orders, and opening new business. You’ll work closely with our Sales Manager and play a key role in driving day-to-day sales.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being out in the field, working independently, and staying active throughout the day. We’re looking for someone motivated, personable, organized, and excited to represent our brand in the market.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Visit on- and off-premise accounts regularly (bars, restaurants, bottle shops, grocery)
• Build and maintain strong relationships with buyers and staff
• Take orders and support account restocks
• Identify and pursue new account opportunities
• Ensure proper product placement, freshness, and visibility in accounts
• Communicate new releases and current offerings clearly and consistently
• Maintain organized notes on account activity and opportunities
• Collaborate with Sales Manager on priorities, routes, and goals
• Represent Little Beast Brewing with professionalism and enthusiasm in the market

QUALIFICATIONS

• Strong interest in craft beer and local beverage culture
• Self-starter with a high level of motivation and accountability
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based role
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Organized and able to manage time effectively across multiple accounts
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn

Bonus (not required):

• Prior sales, service industry, or brewery experience
• Familiarity with the local beer scene

SCHEDULE & STRUCTURE

• Part-time: Tuesday–Thursday (field-based)
• Daytime hours primarily, with occasional flexibility as needed
• Approximately 24 hours per week
• Opportunity to grow into a full-time position based on performance and business needs

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High School Diploma or GED required
• College degree or comparable work experience
• 2 years experience in craft beer industry preferred

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Reliable transportation to/from our Clackamas brewery and ability to drive a company vehicle during work hours (vehicle remains onsite)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Ability to lift and move beer (kegs, cases)
• Comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout the day
• Basic computer skills (Google Sheets, email, etc.)
• Experience with Ekos Brewery Management Software is ideal but not required
• OLCC Service Permit (or ability to obtain)

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to climb stairs both inside and outside and frequently lift and move heavy materials (up to 170 lbs.) repetitively
• Able to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time (8-10 hrs)

COMPENSATION

• Hourly pay, commensurate with experience (expected range: $24–$27/hour)
