What are the responsibilities and job description for the Truss Designer position at Littfin Lumber Company?
Seeking Truss Designers who are responsible for the accurate design of work plans and detail truss drawings based on architectural and engineering plans for fabrication of truss systems, wall panels, and components.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Design residential and commercial truss systems, wall panels, and components utilizing MITEK software that conform to all model building codes in our market area
- Interact with sales and customers regarding the scope of the work to provide a quality truss package within pricing parameters
- Solve architectural and design discrepancies throughout the entire design process.

Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent, Associate degree in technical field preferred.
Experience: 0-2 years’ experience in a construction or building materials-related industry preferred or on the job training
Other skill sets required: Possess the ability to read and develop technical drawings/prints, problem solve, apply mathematical concepts, computer/CAD software, and have exceptional written and verbal communication.
Salary Range: $24.00/hour - $26.00/hour
