Job Description: Stockroom Clerk (2nd Shift)
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM -12 AM
Reports To: Warehouse Manager
Position Summary:
The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for supporting warehouse operations through accurate inventory management and timely material handling. This role performs daily cycle counts, kitting activities, and inventory reconciliation, along with light shipping and receiving tasks such as opening and sealing boxes and completing required signoffs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
- Retrieve and kit materials, parts, and supplies to production, based on information from incoming work orders.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
- Work with manager to audit inventory for accuracy on a regular basis.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Receive and count stock items and record data manually or using computer.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES:
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
- Ability to read, write, and speak English comfortably throughout the workday.
- One to two years related experience
- Basic computer skills.
- Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
- Adaptability to change in the workplace.
- Ability to work at a sustained pace while producing quality work.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This is a manufacturing environment, requiring some or all of the following:
- Frequent reaching, grasping, pushing, or pulling production materials.
- Lifting and carrying battery components, tools, or assembled units weighing up to 50lbs. May involve moving or positioning items within the warehouse area.
- Standing, bending, or kneeling to access equipment, perform assessments, operate machinery, and handle delicate components at various heights and angles.
- Working in varying temperatures and noise levels.
- Required to wear and properly use personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, and gloves as necessary
