Summary
As part of the global Human Resources team, and reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for recruitment & onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, document retention, and HRIS data entry.

As part of the global Human Resources team, and reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Human Resources Generalist is responsible for recruitment & onboarding, benefits administration, compliance, document retention, and HRIS data entry.
Direct Reports
- N/A
- Accurate data entry into ADP Workforce Now (hires, terminations, changes)
- Works closely with Payroll to ensure a smooth transition of all ADP Workforce Now data entry and document transition within the assigned timeframe
- Facilitates the recruiting efforts for the assigned location, including job postings, pre-screening resumes, booking interviews, conducting interviews, completing reference checks and background checks etc. as required
- Prepares various letters (e.g., Employment Offers, Employment Agreements, Employee Changes etc.) for review by the VP Human Resources as required
- Administers the benefit programs for the assigned business units, including enrolling and terminating employees and tracking enrollment dates
- Supports the department in administering the US Benefit Open Enrollment process, ensuring all documents are accurate and completed within the required time frame
- Administers the Employee Referral Bonus Program and/or other HR programs
- Assists the HR Business Partners with the onboarding & offboarding procedures, ensuring all steps are completed within the assigned timeframe (e.g., collecting new hire paperwork, I-9 documentation, policy signoffs, resignation letters etc.)
- Maintains all Human Resources employee files and documents for the assigned business units in the HR drive and ADP Workforce Now
- Performs other duties outside their scope of work as assigned and required
- Certificate, diploma or degree accreditation in Human Resources or related field is preferred or working towards a designation is an asset
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Human Resources role
- Prior experience with full-cycle recruiting, including conducting interviews
- General knowledge of Human Resources functions and programs
- Working experience with ADP Workforce Now, or other Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) including navigating the system, reporting, updating and entering data
- Highly conversant with Microsoft Office and other computer application programs; strong understanding of MS Excel including pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUP and related functions
- Knowledge of employment legislation an asset
- Practical knowledge of operations, company policies and government regulations including but not limited to Employment Standards, Human Rights etc.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with Human Resources matters
- Excellent client service and interpersonal/communication skills, verbally and written and exceptional organizational skills
- Able to exercise sound judgment, is self-motivated, with the ability to prioritize key requirements in a fast-paced environment is a must
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
