Used Vehicle Technician

Diablo Subaru of Walnut Creek is seeking a skilled and dependable Used Vehicle Technician to join our service team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and reconditioning pre-owned vehicles to ensure they meet our high standards for safety, reliability, and quality.

What You’ll Do

• Perform multi-point inspections on used vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues accurately
• Complete reconditioning and repair work on pre-owned inventory
• Conduct routine maintenance services (oil changes, brakes, tires, etc.)
• Ensure all vehicles meet dealership and manufacturer standards
• Document repairs and inspections clearly and accurately
• Collaborate with service advisors and team members to meet deadlines
  
  

What We’re Looking For

• Previous automotive technician experience required
• Experience with used vehicle reconditioning preferred
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills for service documentation
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• ASE certifications are a plus
• Smog certification is a plus

This is a flat rate position that is also eligible for short-term and/or long-term incentives as part of total compensation, which includes bonuses based on Production Productivity.

The Flat Rate Range for this position is $19.00 – $45.00.
