Lisa's Catering is an established, award-winning, family-owned catering company serving the Twin Cities metro area. We're looking for a dependable, hardworking, and energetic individual to join our team!
This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that combines morning meal preparation and kitchen production with daily catering deliveries throughout the Twin Cities.
The first part of your shift will be spent working alongside our kitchen team preparing meals and getting orders ready for delivery. The remainder of your shift will include delivering meals to our clients daily, followed by assisting with kitchen cleanup and other responsibilities.
Our mornings move quickly, and every team member plays an important role in getting meals prepared accurately and out the door on time. We're looking for someone who enjoys staying busy, moves with purpose, takes initiative, and thrives in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
Kitchen Prep & Meal Preparation
- Assist with daily food preparation, cooking, portioning, assembling, and packaging meals according to established recipes and instructions.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen while maintaining accuracy, organization, and attention to detail.
- Multitask effectively, moving between responsibilities as priorities change while keeping track of unfinished tasks and completing them accurately.
- Take ownership of assigned tasks, manage time effectively, and communicate proactively when additional support is needed.
- Follow direction from kitchen leadership and consistently apply training, feedback, and established procedures.
- Maintain proper food safety, sanitation, cooking, and food-holding standards.
- Assist with dishes, cleaning, and maintaining an organized kitchen.
Catering Deliveries
- Safely operate a company vehicle to deliver meals throughout the Twin Cities metro area each day.
- Verify orders for accuracy and completeness before leaving for deliveries.
- Follow assigned delivery schedules and instructions to ensure timely and accurate service.
- Safely load, unload, and transport food and catering equipment.
- Provide friendly, professional customer service to our clients.
- Assist with kitchen cleanup and other responsibilities upon returning from deliveries.
What We're Looking For
- Dependable and punctual: This is an early morning position. You must arrive on time, ready to work, and prepared for a busy day.
- Strong work ethic: A self-starter who moves with purpose, takes initiative, and stays productive without constant supervision.
- Team player: A positive attitude, willingness to help others, and ability to take direction and work collaboratively with leadership and coworkers.
- Quick learner: Ability to retain training, follow instructions, accept feedback, and consistently apply what you've learned.
- Physical stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks, including standing, bending, lifting, and moving throughout the shift.
- Valid driver's license with no major driving violations within the past 7 years.
- Smartphone required, along with the ability to use Google Maps and communicate effectively in English.
- Previous kitchen, catering, food preparation, or delivery experience is preferred.
