Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products, suggesting similar product when appropriate to enhance their shopping experience
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately
- Maintain well-stocked shelves through merchandising and stocking efforts, ensuring products are organized and visually appealing
- Promote upselling opportunities by recommending products and special offers to increase sales
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about new or featured items, encouraging engagement and purchases
- Ensure proper phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers over the phone
Experience
- Previous retail sales experience is preferred, especially in grocery or liquor store environments
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership skills and the ability to oversee team members when needed
- Familiarity with POS systems and retail math for cash handling and transaction processing
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with customers and team members
- Experience in merchandising, stocking, and product demonstrations enhances your ability to succeed in this role
- Knowledge of grocery store operations or similar retail settings will support your understanding of store procedures
