Position Summary:
Advance Plumbing is seeking a skilled and licensed plumber to join our team. As an Experienced Plumber, you will be responsible for performing various plumbing services, including installation, maintenance, and repair of sewer lines, septic systems, and drain fields for both residential and commercial clients in the Birmingham and Jefferson County area.
Compensation:
Apprentices: starting at $26/hr
Journeyman: starting at $32/hr
Master Plumber: starting at $40/hr
*This position requires a valid state of Alabama Plumbing card
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform installations, repairs, and maintenance on sewer systems, septic tanks, drain lines, and drain fields.
- Utilize specialized equipment, such as sewer cameras, to inspect and diagnose piping issues, including blockages, tree root intrusions, and damaged pipes.
- Conduct hydro-jetting to clean out sewer lines safely and efficiently.
- Install sump pumps and ejector pumps to prevent basement flooding and ensure efficient wastewater management.
- Troubleshoot plumbing systems, perform preventative maintenance, and address emergency plumbing issues as they arise.
- Work collaboratively with customers and team members to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, maintaining compliance with company standards and local regulations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of practical experience in plumbing, preferably in sewer and septic systems.
- Minimum valid State of Alabama, Apprentice Plumber License.
- Strong knowledge of sewer line installation, repair, and maintenance.
- Experience with hydro-jetting and camera inspection equipment is preferred.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve plumbing issues efficiently.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Valid Driver's License (Required)
- CDL Class A License Preferred
- Journeyman Plumbers License Preferred
Work Environment:
- Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and working in tight spaces.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Strong odors may be present while handling waste materials.
