What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping & Receiving position at Lippmann?
Fulfilling and processing of orders and paperwork accurately and timely. Accept and coordinate incoming and outgoing shipments.
SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Load and unload products and materials accurately and timely in proper storage locations in and out of the warehouse.
- Match deliveries to paperwork to ensure accuracy. Inspect and report discrepancies or defective material to supervisor.
- Coordinate the timely flow of parts between the yard and warehouse, ensuring parts are presented in the correct packaging with necessary documents.
- Put parts into the correct locations and ensure items are correctly stored and manager.
- Provide information on part shortages to Purchasers/Managers in a timely manner.
- Pick, Kit, and pack parts required for production or sales orders.
- Receive all incoming inventor stock, identify it, tag it. Transfer to designated area I line with the inventory systems.
- Attend requirement training.
- Complete special projects as needed. May be assigned to other areas of Operations, based on business or customer requirements.
PEOPLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- S & R will be dealing with suppliers/drivers/customers, you are required to always act accordingly and respectfully as a representative of the company.
- Use proper call-in procedures.
- Maintain active verbal & written communication with peers and supervisors to ensure safe and effective productivity.
- Have a teamwork attitude; listen, encourage, inspire, and motivate others.
- Be clear and courteous to co-workers, customers, and outside sources. Good verbal and written communication skills.
EXPECTED OUTCOMES:
- Understanding of products with attention to detail on where items are stored.
- Accuracy and relevant paperwork.
- Operator equipment and apply manual technics safely when managing parts with attention to housekeeping and other employees.
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
- At least one year experience in a similar role.
- Valid forklift experience/certification.
- Strong multitasking and communication skills.
- Experience with Inventory Control Systems
- Ability to work as a team and independently.
- Follow company policies and procedures.
