OBJECTIVE: The Night Operations Manager is responsible for directing overall warehouse nighttime outbound activities and is responsible for a safe, profitable, and efficient operation.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure safe operation of the warehouse including meeting company standards for maintenance, security, and housekeeping
- Oversees the production of outbound shipping operations to ensure quality and safety metrics are met or exceeded.
- Monitor and review operational policies and procedures. Recommend improvements where appropriate.
- Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale by demonstrating sound leadership principles.
- Advises the Director of Operations on the technical setup of the outbound operation and works with the Day Warehouse manager to optimize this setup.
- Review nightly outbound operational metrics and inform Director of Operations of any discrepancies and actions taken based on those metrics.
- Ensure outbound shift is appropriately staffed, trained, and counseled.
- Partners with human resources scheduling interviews, hiring, and training.
- Report any maintenance issues to the Director of Operations and Maintenance Department.
- Monitor the system and recommend preventative maintenance actions to the Maintenance Department.
- Communicate any software issues, to include relevant vendor interactions, to the IT department & DMW&H
- Report employees' hours worked to Payroll in a timely and accurate manner on a weekly basis
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum 7-10 years warehouse, inventory, production experience
- Associates Degree or equivalent preferred
- Demonstrated ability to grow and develop subordinates
- Warehouse Management System experience strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and delegation skills
- Minimum 5 years of proven leadership skills
- Ability to drive change through engagement and shared vision
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to interact and communicate well with all team members.
- Good math skills
- Good excel, word application
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
MISCELLANEOUS:
- Occasionally open warehouse on some weekends typically during peak season (Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan), generally less than 5 weekends a year Hours are typically 4:30pm-4:30am Monday night through Friday morning 4am
- 4x10 hour shifts (approx. 45 hours per week).
- Drug Test and Background Screening Required.
- This position will have 40 to 45 hourly workers in the warehouse reporting to them.
