OBJECTIVE: The Assistant Night Warehouse Manager is responsible for reporting all activities to the Night Warehouse Manager and assisting in all the warehouse nighttime production activities. Responsible for managing a safe, profitable, and efficient operation.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist in all operational procedures for activities such as handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current
- Assist with the physical condition of the overall warehouse and ensures all equipment is properly maintained
- Assist with all work orders for repairs and requisitions for replacement of equipment are submitted to the Night Warehouse Manager
- Assist with a safe operation of the warehouse including meeting company standards for sanitation, maintenance, security, and housekeeping
- Ensures the profitability of the warehouse
- Responsible for assisting the Night Warehouse Manager in adequate staffing, training, coaching, and counseling for employees
- Reports employees' hours worked to Payroll on a weekly basis in the absence of the Night Warehouse Manager
- Assist the Night Warehouse Manager with scheduling interviews, hiring, and training.
- Works with the Night Warehouse Manager in planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance for both rewarding and disciplining
- Works with the IT department with issues arising from malfunctioning automated software
- Carry’s out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
- Addresses complaints and resolves problems when they arise and reports that back to the Night Warehouse Manager
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performs all related duties as assigned
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree preferred however, a minimum of High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 5-years supervisory experience in related field
- Excellent communication and leadership skills; ability to manage people
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
- Complete working knowledge of WMS or similar such as Warehouse Advantage, Infuzion, and Warehouse Control System
- Good computer skills
- Inventory Management
REQUIREMENTS:
- Occasionally open warehouse on some weekends typically during peak season (Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan), generally less than 5 weekends a year.
- This position will assist with the oversite and management of 35-40 hourly workers in the warehouse.
- Responsible for all responsibilities in the absence of the Night Warehouse Manager.

- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Frequent walking, standing, and climbing stairs
- Ability to work in hot/cold environment
