Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Cooks and also Prep Cooks (both full and part-time) to join our fast-paced restaurant as a member of our team. We offer flexible hours, competitive wages, and the opportunity to learn new skills.
As a Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and food safety standards. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the overall dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
- Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and portion sizes
- Ensure food is cooked to the appropriate temperature and quality standards
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate any shortages or discrepancies
Experience:
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking
- Knowledge of culinary techniques and practices
- Familiarity with food handling and safety regulations
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
As a Prep Cook, you will be responsible for assisting the Cooks in their task of creating the best dining experience for our customers.
Duties:
-Preparing ingredients: Washing, peeling, and cutting ingredients
-Portioning meats, and preparing sauces and dressings
-Measuring and assembling ingredients
-Following recipes to measure and assemble ingredients
-Storing food properly to maintain its quality and freshness
-Cleaning up prep areas and keeping the kitchen clean and sanitized
-Receiving, signing for, and putting away deliveries
-Restocking ingredients and kitchen supplies
-Distributing prepped ingredients to the appropriate line cooks and stations
-Performing basic cooking tasks such as stirring, straining, and parboiling food, and reducing sauces
