TITLE: Quality Assurance Assistant

REPORTS TO: Quality Assurance Specialist

Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Specialist supports the Quality Assurance Specialist with various compliance functions. The Quality Assurance Assistant supports the agency’s quality assurance and compliance efforts by helping to ensure services are delivered in accordance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices. This position assists with monitoring/auditing documentation, reviewing incident and program records, tracking
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensure that the Adult Services residential programs meet or exceed all licensing requirements and regulations as determined by Linwood’s licensing authorities.
- Completes monthly site visit to the Residential homes to ensure that the physical plant is cleaned and meets COMAR/State regulations.
- Ensures documentation is present and up-to-date in the individual binders and home.
- Assists the Quality Assurance Specialist with Incident Reporting and Investigations.
- Ensures that Incident Reports are completed in accordance with PORII (Policy on Reportable Incidents and Investigations).
- Ensures Incident Reports are completed timely and accurately.
- Assist Quality Assurance Specialist with yearly Medical Assistance applications and provides follow up to the QA Specialist to ensure compliance.
- Follows up with the Quality Assurance Specialist with any compliance issues from house audit and compliance items.
- Conduct any trainings related to compliance as instructed by the Quality Assurance Specialist.
Other Duties & Responsibilities
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Education, Experience, Skills)
- Associates Degree in a related field of study.
- Two to three years’ experience in the healthcare industry or disabilities community.
- 2 years’ experience working in compliance or DDA programs.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and a high degree of initiative and positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to multi-task and respond to short deadlines.
- Must travel to Linwood’s residences throughout the surrounding communities. Travel will typically be accomplished using the employee’s private vehicle.

The employee must be able to pass the physical and academic portions of the behavior support and intervention training.
