About the Role
We’re looking for a Technical Infrastructure Specialist to join our Birmingham office and take ownership of the technology infrastructure that powers Linq. This includes managing hardware, operating systems, and applications critical to our daily operations. You’ll ensure that both internal and customer-facing systems are reliable, secure, and optimized for performance.
This is an in-office role with on-call rotations overnight and on weekends, supporting uptime and rapid issue response for key systems. You’ll work closely with our engineering and operations teams to maintain a seamless technology environment for our employees and customers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain technology infrastructure, including hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
- Oversee and optimize systems used for automations, communications, and customer-facing services.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
- Monitor and maintain system performance, uptime, and security
- Provision new systems and devices as needed.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware, software, and configurations.
- Collaborate with the team to scale systems and solutions as Linq and its products grow.

- Strong technical aptitude and interest in managing both hardware and software systems
- Familiarity with operating systems like macOS, iOS, and similar platforms.
- Understanding of networking concepts and infrastructure
- Solid troubleshooting skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
Ideal Candidates Would Have
- Vocational training or certifications in IT, networking, or a related field.
- Experience managing communication systems like VoIP or automations.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for software development.
- Knowledge of mobile device management (MDM) tools.
- Familiarity with scripting or automation tools to streamline tasks.
- Understanding of security best practices for infrastructure and devices.
