Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to lead facility operations, maintenance strategy, and capital improvement initiatives within an industrial environment. This role is responsible for ensuring operational readiness, regulatory compliance, team leadership, and continuous improvement across all building systems and infrastructure.
The ideal candidate brings strong leadership experience, a background in engineering or facility management, and a proven ability to optimize maintenance performance while managing budgets and capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
Facility Operations & Maintenance
Oversee all facility systems including HVAC, utilities, mechanical systems, electrical infrastructure, and building assets
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and reliability-centered maintenance programs to minimize downtime
Ensure facility readiness to support production, logistics, and business operations
Maintain compliance with building codes, environmental standards, and life-safety regulations
Maintenance Team Leadership
Lead, supervise, and mentor maintenance technicians
Assign work, monitor performance, and conduct team evaluations
Strengthen technical capabilities through coaching and training initiatives
Establish and monitor KPIs to drive performance improvements
Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
Process Improvement & Engineering
Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and other process improvement methodologies to optimize facility layout, workflows, and equipment uptime
Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement sustainable corrective actions
Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for facility and maintenance operations
Health, Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations
Lead safety inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations
Champion a proactive safety culture focused on prevention and continuous improvement
Financial & Resource Management
Develop and manage facility and maintenance budgets (labor, materials, utilities, capital expenditures)
Oversee spare parts inventory, vendor relationships, and service contracts
Conduct cost-benefit analyses for facility upgrades and maintenance strategies
Capital Project Management
Plan and execute facility upgrades, renovations, and equipment installations
Coordinate cross-functional teams and external contractors
Deliver projects on time, within scope, and within budget
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in maintenance planning and reliability tools
Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles
Comprehensive understanding of regulatory compliance and facility systems
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong leadership, communication, and team-building capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Project management experience (PMP certification is a plus)
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field required
Advanced degree or professional certifications in facilities/maintenance management preferred (CFM, CMRP, FMP)
5–8 years of experience in facility management, maintenance leadership, or operations/process engineering
Demonstrated success supervising maintenance teams in industrial or manufacturing environments
