Job Title: ESL/ESP Instructor
Contract Duration: 3 months (14 weeks, renewable)
Total Hours per Week: 7–15 hours
Location: Enid, OK, 73701
Position Description:
This position will provide classes at three facilities in Enid, OK ONLY. Other positions at additional sites will be released as needed.
The instructor will deliver 6–10 instructional hours per week, teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and/or English for Specific Purposes (ESP) courses for frontline team members.
Responsibilities:
- Develop materials associated with courses taught.
- Attend partner meetings.
- Participate in all faculty meetings and training.
- Attend recruitment events and culminating activities.
- Complete grading and record-keeping tasks.
Required Qualifications:
- Knowledge of teaching strategies and methods, including grammar, reading, writing, and listening/speaking.
- Native fluency and strong command of written and spoken English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, teaching, or related field.
- TESOL certificate.
- Minimum 3 years of ESL adult education teaching experience.
- Strong classroom management, organizational, and planning skills.
- Ability to give clear, concise directions and explanations.
- Proficiency in a second language.
- Experience teaching English for Special Purposes (ESP) such as Economics, Business, Computers, or Engineering.
- Cross-cultural sensitivity.
- Excellent technology application skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
Shift Schedule:
- Monday & Wednesday: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM at 54th St Enid Plant
- Thursday & Friday: 4:30 PM – 6:30 PM at Enterprise Enid Plant (Optional)
- Tuesday: 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM (Times subject to change as needed)
