About the Role:
The Human Resources (HR) Coordinator focuses on countywide training coordination, facilitation of employee recognition program, operations administration and general HR function support. The incumbent plays a key role in managing internal systems and processes including budget and expense tracking, managing electronic personnel records, overseeing the onboarding support process, serving on County committees, and facilitating County-wide training and recognition initiatives. The position also supports communication and web content management and provides cross-functional assistance to other HR functions as needed.
- Coordinates and tracks County-wide training initiatives including Core Values and General Accepted People Metrics (GAPM).
- Facilitates and maintains the County’s learning management system including class catalog development, training creation, session uploads, and attendance tracking.
- Coordinates logistics for employee training and professional development programs, including scheduling, room reservations, communication, materials preparation, and attendance tracking
- Provides administrative support for recruitment processes, including job postings, applicant screening, interview coordination, reference checks, offer letters, and candidate communication.
- Coordinates recruitment logistics and maintains hiring documentation, records, and applicant tracking activities to support efficient and compliant hiring processes.
- Supports administration of the County’s new hire orientation program and onboarding processes in collaboration with HR team members and departments.
- Maintains physical and digital employee records, inputs personnel information into Human Resources Information systems (HRIS), prepares payroll rosters for approval, tracks demographics and transfers for non-discrimination reporting and prepares personnel file documentation for legal, administrative, and departmental requests.
- Coordinates policy compliance activities, including assigning Policy acknowledgements, tracking responses, and maintaining documentation.
- Delivers customer service through phone, email, and in-person interactions and supports the HR Director and staff by screening inquiries and managing front desk responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in human resources or related field.
- Two (2) years of experience as an HR generalist in the field of human resources (training, benefits, recruitment, etc.) and three (3) to five (5) years of experience working in a progressively responsible administrative position required.
