Qualifications
- Pursing a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred
- Demonstrate a strong willingness to learn and grow.
- Using Lean Manufacturing principles proactively identifies and executes significant improvements to product quality and productivity through changes in production processes, people processes, and manufacturing systems.
- Maintains up-to-date documentation for the production processes and equipment, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, Standard Work, Production Layouts, as well as relevant policies and procedures.
- Provides Design for Manufacturing input to support the Product and Process Design and Development Process needed to assure high-quality products and processes.
- Develop process improvement plans and capital equipment proposals that will improve safety, quality, cost, productivity and delivery performance.
- Develops accurate production cost estimates to guide decision making.
- Develops and maintains BOMs and routings that accurately reflect material and production costs.
- Efficiently processes Non-Production Shop Orders to support new product development and other non-standard production needs.
- Works with quality and production departments to resolve customer quality issues following corrective and preventive action process.
- Participates in Quality Product Audits and Manufacturing Process Audits.
- Participates in kaizen initiatives to improve quality, efficiency and utilization.
- Performs other duties as requested or assigned by the organization.
