The Assistant Project Manager, Development will be responsible for supporting the Development Team with the administrative oversight of all development-related reporting, data management, and project monitoring. This position will be exposed to all facets of Industrial Real Estate.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage project documentation in Yardi and confirm proper records are maintained for all developments.
- Coordinate the receipt of cash flow projection information from general contractors, developers and development management team.
- Ensure timely payments of development expenses and accurate coding.
- Secure new vendor information such as W-9 and ACH information
- Prepare, manage and execute various types of contracts and project documentation in a timely manner.
- See contract through workflow including working with legal on any contract negotiations as needed.
- Maintain tracker and audit file through life of each contract.
- Coordinate invoices with the contracts; secure back-up docs as needed; code invoices into the system
- Interface with contractors and third-party managers and provide additional support as needed.
- Collect, vet and store contract supporting documentation.
- Set up and maintenance of tenant jobs within Yardi in coordination with development managers and leasing team.
- Coordinate the “Close Out” process of completed developments and ensure all documentation is received and financial records are finalized
- Maintenance of non-financial project information in development database.
- Support all phases of the Development from acquisition through lease-up
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA or BS in relevant field of study (Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, Business Management or similar)
- Must be a team player
- 1-2 years’ experience in the development or real estate industry preferred
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; familiarity with Yardi also a plus
- Detail-oriented
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced work environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
